Payroll Clerk (Part-Time)

This position is Monday - Wednesday and hours can be flexible 8-5, 7-4, etc.

Analyzing information, data entry skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, thoroughness, general math, and dependability are the most important skillsets for a Payroll Clerk. We are looking for a qualified Payroll Clerk to assist in all activities regarding the functions of teammate compensation within the company. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering new hires, pay adjustments, and specific deductions.

An excellent Payroll Clerk has a great understanding of the concept of confidentiality. You will be experienced in entering data with attention to detail and have good math skills. The ideal candidate will be thorough and with good communication abilities. The goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Data entry and updates for new hires into the payroll system with accuracy.

Adjust time for salary and hourly teammates.

Processing of wage garnishments.

Assists teammates with questions regarding payroll questions/issues.

Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures with a very high level of confidentiality.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk.

Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality.

Computer savvy with working knowledge of payroll software, such as AS400, Optimum, Kronos

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem solving.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

High school diploma
