Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Tippin's Gourmet Pie Plant
The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. To assist with inventory control, and shipping/receiving. This position entails direct receiving, shipping, and inventory distribution operations. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks and transport materials to designated areas
- Inspect the forklift daily to ensure it is in safe operating condition
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong physical stamina
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food industry.
- Environmental awareness:
- Exposure to flour dust, moderate noise, and extreme temperatures (oven room, Freezers, can get as low as -20 degrees)
Position pays: $17/hour
