Grocery Clerk SF

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at SunFresh. In this role, you'll ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing while creating a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience-helping guests easily find what they need and supporting overall store operations and sales.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits
• Stock, rotate, and face products to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure an appealing presentation
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked aisles to enhance the shopping experience and uphold store standards
• Assist guests with locating products, answering questions, and making recommendations
• Develop and maintain knowledge of store products, including features, pricing, and location to better support guests and drive sales
• Unload deliveries, break down shipments, and organize backstock efficiently and safely
• Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to support product availability and reduce shrink
• Ensure proper product placement, pricing accuracy, and signage execution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearance
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and POS systems as needed
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient store operations
• Collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest hospitality goals
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards
• Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures
• Participate in required trainings and continuous learning to support personal and team development
• Remain productive during slower periods by cleaning, organizing, restocking, or supporting other departments
• Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, stocking, or warehouse environments
