Food Quality and Safety Manager - Tippin's Pie Plant

We have room for you at our new facility! Join a team that is growing! The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager is the on-site food safety and regulatory authority at Tippin's. The position has the primary responsibility of driving the food safety systems for Tippin's by developing, modifying, and maintaining the plants' HACCP, SQF and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the production of safe and wholesome food.

Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMP) systems; validating processes; providing documentation; managing the team.

The successful candidate will build strong internal relationships with Sales, Operations and Finance and be responsible for business partnering, forecasting, planning, analytics, and ensuring effective financial control over their specific areas of responsibility.

• Ability to thrive in a small business organization
• High aptitude for and experience with critical analytical work
• High degree of intellectual curiosity with and affinity for research and problem solving
• Ability to communicate and deal effectively with team members at all organizational levels and establish sound relationships with all levels of team members
• Strong coaching and team development skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite skills
• Strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes
• Flexible, organized and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines
• Able to perform other duties and responsibilities as requested
• Experience:
• Five years proven experience in quality assurance and food safety roles
• Bakery operations management experience is a plus
• PCQI certified, HACCP certified preferred
• English/Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Drug Free Environment/EOE
