Cake Decorator

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team at Price Chopper. In this role, you'll design and decorate high-quality cakes and desserts that delight our guests-serving as a key part of celebrations and special moments while helping drive bakery sales and guest loyalty.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other bakery items according to guest requests and company standards
• Create custom designs using icing, fondant, and other decorative elements
• Ensure all products meet quality, freshness, and visual presentation standards
• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times
• Consult with guests to understand design needs, themes, and special requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and decorating area
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Manage time effectively to meet production schedules and order deadlines
• Assist with baking, filling, and preparing products as needed
• Monitor inventory levels of decorating supplies and communicate needs to leadership
• Stay informed on bakery promotions and seasonal offerings to support sales
• Work collaboratively with bakery team members and store leadership
• Support additional bakery or store operations as needed
• Remain productive during slower periods by preparing materials, practicing designs, or supporting team tasks
• Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Required: Previous cake decorating or bakery experience
