Business Development Manager - Tippin's Pie Plant

General Description




Builds relationships with customers and vendors as well as our internal teams of QA, customer service, logistics, sourcing, and production. Management of new product development and product improvement; to include creating new products, designs, QA testing and release to production. Travels and attends customer product presentations, food shows and market tours to keep on track with current trends and customer needs as needed.

Responsibilities


  • New product development
    • Create/design new items to enhance the growth of the company through innovation.
    • Coordinate with sourcing to secure new ingredients, packaging, etc.
    • Work with R&D, production, and production planning to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Travel outside of local market- less than 10% yearly
  • Provide customer support of developing and maintaining customer handling sheets.

Qualifications


This position requires the teammate to exercise discretion and independent judgement. This position requires experience in sales and general business operations. The position requires a high degree of proficiency and the ability to interact successfully with diverse groups of people.

Education and Experience


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5-years related experience


Knowledge and Skills


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office program: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge on NEW ERP system
  • Ability to write correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before group of customers or teammates of organizations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
